Excellent ski quality in the Sherbrooke Lake area. -14 degrees in the parking lot at start with temperatures reaching -9 in the alpine. Noticeable change in snowpack conditions above 2300m with a thin wind slab beginning to form on an east facing aspect that we skinned up/skied. On the second pitch of our descent, solar effect was quite noticeable in open trees/in the slide path we skied with surface sloughing and significant pin wheeling occurring in steeper terrain. CTH down 70 on an interface of new storm snow and facets. HS was significantly greater than expected and settled storm snow exceeded amounts reported in other areas of the forecast region. Loose dry avalanches observed on all aspects of Mt. Ogden out of steep start zones to size 1. No evidence of any larger slab avalanches in the area.
