Snowpack

Residual snow from prior event still transpiring and refilling avalanche bed surface. Leeward ridge tops scoured dry. Basal facets under dense wind slab. New surface hoar crystals up to 8mm below tree line and in wind protected areas.

East face of South Twin Cone, above tree line - natural trigger, deep persistent hard slab, R3, D2, starting zone slope ~ 40°, avg slope ~ 34°. 100’ wide, 300’ long. Blocks in debris field from 1-2 feet in size.
