2 inches of heavy wet snow on top of a thick sun crust

South facing, BTL. Around 3/4 of the way down number 2 I traversed into number 3, upon entering number 3 a small R1 D1 slide broke beneath my skis and propagated ~50 ft wide. The interface was the sun crust and the 2 inches of storm snow on top
