Weather

Broken skies in the morning, becoming overcast with snow starting just as we were leaving the truck. Snowfall was light at first, but reached intensities of S2 during our tour. 1.5-2" of new snow fell while we were out, before snow ended as we returned to the truck.

Snowpack

E to SE aspects below treeline had a breakable MFcr over unsupportable older snow. E to SE aspects near and above treeline had a breakable MFcr over this week's new snow over a more supportable snowpack. See snow pit profile for details of N aspect high in Sister #6. Roller balls were noted on steeper slopes of all aspects in the area, including in all of the Sisters.
