Soft storm slab over a largely faceted base. Some sun crust on S aspects .

Avalanche

Descended a S-SE slope with a roll over in the 30+ degree range. Mostly treed area with some open areas. Steep slope was somewhat rocky. Skier 1 cut across the open zone 2/3 down the slope. Nothing moved. Then skier 2 traversed across the top of the roll over to reach some more protected trees. Triggered a soft storm slab on top of the S aspect sun crust that broke down to Skier 1s reacks. 30cm deep crown, maybe 20-30m wide, R1D1.
