Snowpack

A lovely 1-2cm MFcr has graced us with its presence during the warm temperatures yesterday creating breakable surface conditions in open east and south-east facing terrain. I dug on an east-facing slope below treeline where a 1F slab is sandwiched by F hard new snow from the MLK weekend storm and basal facets. Height of snow was around 95 cm, Ski Pen around 35 cm and Boot Pen to the ground (I got a collapse when establishing a Boot Pen). An ECT produced moderate propagating test results at the basal facets (ECTP11 @ 42cm).
