Weather

In the last week, warm and sunny weather was ended with 2" of snow overnight and light SW winds. Cloud cover is decreasing throughout the day. The next wave of snowfall is expected tonight and tomorrow.

Snowpack

The snowpack near and above TL is thin and variable. On areas of the slope facing SE, the snowpack has a stronger CR layer that can drive WL crack propagation in isolated locations. At areas of the slope facing east, this strong CR layer is less pronounced, and the snowpack seems less capable of propagating cracks along the WL. See snowpits for more details.
