It was ALMOST good riding, but freezing levels crept up to 2200m in the Corbin area and the snow got pretty heavy so it was kind of meh. We noticed/heard extensive loose moist avalanche activity to size 1.5 from most aspects in the alpine. Cornices are still big, no surprise there, we stayed well away from them. We thought when it cleared a bit in the afternoon we may get a chance to see one drop...but it didn't happen while we ate our lunch. The upper snowpack at treeline has numerous supportive crusts that seem to be holding things together for now. Below treeline terrain is losing strength but is not yet isothermal in most places.
