Weather
Periods of sun poking through broken clouds. Light W winds at ridgeline, with temps just cold enough to keep the snow preserved.
Snowpack
18-20" of settling storm snow in this area from the past two days was well bonded and did not show signs of denser wind-slabs. Only small sluffs that ran 10-20 feet chased riders as they made turns in the deeper snow. Shadier slopes were staying cold and dry, but anything with an easterly or southerly aspect started to show signs of warming later in the day as the sun got on it. No significant signs of instability were observed, however, large overhanging cornices are something to consider with future loading or rapid warming.
