Snowpack
High thin clouds in AM were replaced by overcast skies by afternoon. This kept the temperatures slightly cooler but at the same time produced some greenhousing. Low elevation northerlies became damp and should have a thin crust on Sunday. No new avalanches were seen in the Telluride/Ophir area but a few small wet loose slides were observed that likely occurred on Friday February 28. These were on south facing slopes north of Ophir in Spring Gulch and Highline Bowl. See photos. D1's involving just the newest snow above a crust.
Avalanche
Shallow wet-loose avalanches on steep south-facing slopes above Ophir that likely occurred Friday February 28, 2020.
