Weather
Cool and windy at ridgetop. Some light wind drifting onto east slopes. Calm below ridge.
Snowpack
HS ranged from 280cm to 160cm along top of path. 2-4mm surface hoar will likely be destroyed by sun and wind today. I dug in a shallow area a little more SW than the top of the path. Several melt freeze crusts punctuated a mostly faceted snowpack. Layer of concern was a crust/facet interface at 80cm from the ground which failed CT13/ECTN18. Northern Below treeline terrain HS~100cm and faceted below upper 20cm of snow. Boot pen 40cms.
