Weather

Partly cloudy skies, temperatures in the 30s, and very strong W winds near treeline. Snowdepths; Cumbres Pass 50", Cumbres Trestle 52", La Manga Pass 36". Only 0.9" of SWE recorded this month at the Trestle Snotel site.

Snowpack

Lack of snow, warm temperatures, and strong winds have left a variable snowpack structure. Buried and surface melt freeze and wind crusts are commonly found. Kind of a mess.

Avalanche

No observed recent avalanche activity outside of the highway corridor at this end of the SSJ zone.
