Calm and clear for the early afternoon, followed by fog and light snow in the late afternoon.
Snowpack
On south-facing below treeline terrain, the height of snow was approximately 40 to 50 centimeters. There was a melt freeze crust below the most recent storm snow that was unreactive because it lacked a slab above the crust. Near treeline the snowpack is anywhere from 70 to 90 centimeters deep. I did not experience any propagation during extended column tests. The new snow essentially broke apart after a few taps. However digging on north and east aspects I found a layer of surface hoar and near surface facets 30 to 35 centimeters below the surface. Otherwise, the snowpack is generally right side up with rounding grains below the surface hoar, and fist-hard to four-finger hard snow above it.
