Surprise Pass - paved

Excellent uphill conditions out there right now, made for quick and easy assent (especially on steeper slopes). The decent was the technical part, as a mixed bag of terrible conditions were encountered. Wind hammered at the top, and as the slope opens up more and more evidence of iced over sun affected snow. In addition pebbles have been infused into the crust, inflicting some minor pain on the bases. All in all a very enjoyable day given the splendid weather, but if you are trying to get some quality skiing I would advise otherwise.
