50 cm of blower pow in sheltered areas, exposed slopes wind loaded. Windslab widespread at upper TL and Alp, 10-20 cm below HST. Very hollow and spooky with large whumps felt on N and NW TL aspects 1750m up to 32 degrees incline in simple terrain. CT results scary. Checked out a skin track from yesterday that ventured up to sub alpine towards Vantage and got a remote whump on approach. [Heuristic trap of course) Bailed. Then got a massive whump on previous skin track (flat terrain) in same area that we had already used 3 times. Time to go home! Kept it simple and avoided avalanche terrain. Obs various groups skiing steep TL lines off Vantage Ridge with no signs of avalanches. Spacial variability…

Day started clear. Convective activity with a few light flurries mid morning through the afternoon. Sun was warm, no solar activity obs. . L NW winds transporting HST at TL and above

Test - Lower Vantage Tree line. 32° inc North asp 1730m ele 350cm HS F-1F Surface to 50cm. Mfcr/FC 50-65cm Below crust - well settled 1F-P CTM11 (SP) down 50 on 1-2mm FC above MFcr (below thin rime lens) CTE7 (SP) as above CTE3 (SP) as above

Avalanche

Below Joffre. Obs on ski out at 1430hrs, wasn’t present on skin in at 0900.
