Varying variability

We soaked up the sun and warm air above the valley cloud at Hankin. Snow surfaces featured the full range of conditions, with temperature crusts forming at low elevations, sun crusts on steep south aspects, hard wind-packed or wind-scoured surfaces in wind-exposed areas, and soft cold snow in sheltered areas at upper elevations. The variable variability sure was varied. At least the views were constant!
