Storm produced 25 - 30 cm of snow by the afternoon in the higher Treeline area. The riding was great, the temp was great for learning. Turns out my Polaris is really good at finding the ONE tree!
Weather
Steady snow all day fluctuating from S1 to S2. At the lower elevation where the trucks were parked 10CM fell between 0900 - 1600. Beauty Day
Snowpack
We did find a mixed bag of Surface Hoar and facets below the New Snow which resulted in a an Easy break; but the storm slab was not yet well consolidated. We had a failure on the early Jan crust down 60cm sudden drop CTH5.
