Just havin' a time

Just had a great time skiing more terrain north of Valkyr Lodge. AM Wx: 14 cm on Hn24, winds mod. all night from the SW, occasional gusts to W/NW. New load, wind transport, and poor vis kept us out of the ALP. Moderate temps, great tree skiing all day on north and nw aspects, 2300 m down to 1750 m. Ski quality remained good over Mar 18th crust/interface, we could have skied lower. No signs of whumpfing or cracking. Some pinwheeling from extreme solar terrain as the sun occasionally got to it. Very un-settled day, in-and-out vis with convective brief intense flurries to S2. At 1800 the skies cleared off very suddenly and awesome views of the Naumalten zone at the lodge. No new avalanche activity observed.
