Sunshine Backcountry

We skied south, east and west aspects on Mt Standish. The height of snow at tree line is about 40 cm. If you stick to the deepest part of mellow slopes you can avoid hitting any rocks. Trail break was a lot of work. The mid pack was quite facetted and the snow skied quite slow. Below tree line there isn't much snow. Areas that had a bit of wind slab underneath skied better. 10 minute line ups for strawberry. Small whumping on South aspects at tree line. Would recommend waiting for more snow or starting from a high parking lot, but was still a good day out.
