Incident

Comment

We knew of the wind slab formation on the rider's left. The person leading did not know the area very well and as we tried to cross the slope he dropped too low. He stopped right on top of the convexity then caused a small slide to propagate. We rode one at a time to the far (rider's) left to exit out of the potential start zone. As I was crossing the slope I noticed a shooting crack just above me which was the start zone for the rest of the slide. Both of us managed to ride to safety.
