Snowpack

Sunny = mostly burned off with knife hard MF crusts in previously drifted gullies Sheltered above 10,500' = 40cm weak snow, won't hold much weight at all Drifted near treeline = two notable weaknesses that will propagate widely once loaded Alpine = damaged, rough old snow surfaces, only isolated weak layers buried under stiff crusts. North winds of the last month have battered the shady aspects, and the sun has worked the other half.
