Snowpack
Near surface faceting last night. Some areas the NSF is going down 10 to 15cm. Full profile done on small wind-loaded knob, northeast aspect at 11700. There were various layers of facets and two prominent slabs, one likely from the Jan 5th event and the other the MLK day storm/wind slab, both now persistent slabs resting on facets. Inspection of facets and depth hoar with 40x magnifier showed signs of bonding and rounding throughout. PST 30/70 End down 70cm, ECT 24 SC down 70 cm. Both of these went on the Jan 5 slab/depth hoar interface.
