Weather
Sunny with mild easterly wind on entire hike from cirque lift to top of baldy peak around 13200.
Snowpack
Stable in north east facing baldy peak headwall couloir. Wind loaded on east and south east facing slopes between 11000 and 12700 feet.
Avalanche
Avalanches seen were not on any aspect traveled. Wind slab slide seen on north facing slope to lookers left of peak. It did not appear to be human triggered. To lookers right of peak on south east slopes two slides were observed. The slides were between the runs know as "shes easy" and "gaper bowl". Both appeared to be human triggered wind loading. Since we traveled far away from these slopes it was difficult to tell if the slides stepped down into the lower layer. There were no clear crowns leading us to believe that the slides did not step down to the persistent slab. Both slides were at least 400 feet In length and around 40 feet wide. One slide has potential for terrain trap issues and looked to have run over old slide debris. The picture attached shows baldy peak but does not show the two south east aspect slides. This picture is for reference. The two south east aspect slides would be to lookers right of this photo. This post is to show that although west willow is easy to access from snowmass and the slides were not the worst there is still some danger.
