Snowpack
On N aspects below treeline, new snow was 10 - 12" deep, surprisingly low density and not slabby in the a.m. Sluffing on steeper terrain the only concern. Near treeline on NE aspects, the low density snow was more consolidated due to wind and/or solar warming, developing into touchy soft slabs 15" deep on melt-freeze crusts around noon. Lower elevations, the new snow was moist and consolidating by midday. Reports of 2' of new snow higher up on Kebler Pass road.
