Snowpack

Traveled on an east aspect from below treeline to just at treeline. Near treeline east aspects had a 6 to 8 inch wind slab, not reactive to ski cutting on slopes around 30 degrees. New snow in the past 24 hours measured around 8 to 10 inches in wind sheltered terrain. Snowpack still presents to be upside down with denser persistent slabs sitting on top of soft weak faceted basal layers. One notable collapse with no cracking in a 30 degree east aspect below treeline.
