Weather

Mid-morning to early afternoon: continuous graupel (G-1 to G2) and heavily rimed crystals, Moderate-Strong winds blowing snow at all elevations. Up track refilling within minutes. Early afternoon: switch to full snow, large crystals, S2 or greater. Rain/ snow line about 7500 feet.

Snowpack

10-30 cm new, recent and drifted snow over variety of old surfaces. New snow not slabby in most places - almost entirely graupel or pellets until early afternoon. This snow will not hold much of a cohesive slab.

Avalanche

Several small, harmless sluffs triggered on Steep, northerly slopes. Same below cornices with dropped blocks. No entrainment or gouging.
