Weather
Obscured skies, strong W-NW winds. Temps were in the teens.
Snowpack
Unknown exactly in the slide path, but two weeks ago, that slope had significant melt-freeze crusts which were covered by the new storm snow from the past two storms this past week.
Avalanche
Obviously D2, but unknown R value due to poor visibility. However, some crown-like feature seemed to be visible on SE facing slope high in the path. The sidewall of the slide path had been pulled out when the avalanche ran.
