Snowpack

6-8" new today over this weeks' storm snow, HS = 215 at quick pit on 25 degree slope, NE aspect. quick pit showed CT15 Q1 SP at 90 cm from surface (on base of last weekend dump), with coarse facets on planar surface at failure. could not activate this layer, but easy and abundant sluffing on 40+ degree supported slopes and steep rolls below treeline

Avalanche

no naturals, no slab activity. ski cuts on steep rolls, mushrooms, pillows and test slopes resulted in very easy sluffing and shears of new soft, un-cohesive surface snow on planar surfaces at top of previous storm interface. nil cracks or whomphing in last 2 days.
