Snowpack

We skied Dragon Tail Couloir in RMNP today. It was frozen hard all the way to the lake and supportable with about one inch of new snow at about 11 AM. That was before it started to really snow hard. There were runnels in the upper portion and old debris on the apron. Not very good skiing, but certainly supportable and decent surface conditions where there was no runnel or debris. No signs of natural activity anywhere in this drainage. Surprisingly for RMNP, there was no wind, even at the summit of Flattop.
