Weather

The day began sunny and changed to overcast. We were sheltered from the wind for the most part, but we could hear the gusts above the trees. 37 degrees F at 2:30pm.

Snowpack

See attached Photo - Profile from Avanet. There were 3 crust layers spread throughout the snowpack - one melt-freeze on the surface (137cm depth), another MF (at 91-93cm from ground), and an older crust that had changed to facets (at 67-71cm from ground). There were 4 planar surfaces in the upper 2/3 of the snowpack. At 126cm from ground, we had a CT18SP. From there, we played through to see the rest of the failures, the next being under the MFcr at 91cm from ground.
