Another bluebird day. Light winds, warm temperatures, and lots of sun.

Snowpack

Affects of this week's warm-up vary widely across aspect and slope angle. Areas receiving a lot of sun had seen a significant drop in HS, and the snow surface was wet. Nearby areas with a little more northerly tilt, or shade, showed little effect other than settlement and a very thin crust. Mid-pack weak layers were not present in my profile, and tests showed little reactivity. One compression test failed on basal facets (CTM 14 SC), otherwise, no significant results. No signs of instability or avalanches observed in the bowl or surrounding terrain.
