Weather

Pittsuburgh area: Calm winds in the valley at the beginning of tour. Winds picked up at bench below Schuykill Mountain. Wind gusts were around 25 mph. On the way out the valley winds picked up out of the NW/N. Tree tops at the vehicle were swaying. Skin tracks in the valley bottom had become filled in since the morning. Intermittent blowing snow for tour up to the bench. Previous storm snow was 2 inches in protected areas and 6 inches from wind.

Snowpack

Only saw two SS-N-R1-D1 slides below first bedrock bench underneath Schuykill ridge. Snow skiing was stable and hit sun crusts on the lower 1/3 of the slope.
