Weather

Overcast with gusty and variable winds. Light snow from around 2pm on.

Snowpack

A nice, solid snowpack. Surface layers are faceting in shady areas. On southerly and sun-exposed aspects, there is a 5 cm thick melt-freeze crust which is sometimes supportable to skis, and made for dreadful skiing on these steep, brushy slopes. Mid-pack weak layers have rounded and integrated into the thick slab that comprises the majority of our current snowpack. Basal facets are still visible, but are quite well rounded, 4f hard, and moist. No concerning results with snowpack tests.
