Snowpack

Dug test pit on NNW aspect of NW ridge of Ellingwood Peak at 12,600’. This was at the base of the normal couloir approach to summit Ellingwood from the NW. Winter snowpack still exists with the storm snow sitting on 1F to P layers. Boot pen was about 25cm.

Avalanche

Several small wet loose avalanches on N to E aspects. These were mostly less than 25cm deep.
