Avalanche

Remote triggered avalanche on Red 2 - NE Aspect. Following is the accounting of witnesses: Today, a member of my party remotely triggered a big slab on the NE face of Red 2, just at tree line…the Midnight Run. Maybe a 3? Ran a few hundred feet, big blocks, and went to the ground just below the crown. You can see it from the Ironton parking lot. At the top, as we started skiing down, my friend asked “can I go here?”, to which I said no, and then slide cut loose. Interestingly, another party of three had made a skin track in a different place than us, further to skier’s left (ours was in the trees), then skied the line, maybe 30 min. or less before the slide. their skin track was partially wiped out and their ski tracks.. Better to be lucky than smart I guess.
