Weather

Windy, with episodes of fine to coarse graupel and fog. No sun visible. Temperature a little above freezing.

Snowpack

Six to eight inches of new, very dense, grabby snow. Though difficult to ski, the snowpack felt stable during descent. However, on climbing back up occasional whoompf sounds were heard on slopes ranging from 15º to 30º. Lots of pinwheels from the day before were seen, mostly below cliffy areas, though some came from clumps of snow falling from trees.
