Weather

A warm and mostly dry fall has left the Vail and Summit County zone with a mostly non-existent, early-season snowpack. Comparing snow coverage on this date to the warm fall of 2015, there is much less snow coverage this year.

Snowpack

The only areas that have any snow cover are northerly, high elevation, gully features in the Ten Mile Range. With mostly bare ground on all aspects and at all elevations there is little to mention regarding weak layer development.
