Weather
The early morning weather produced a brief period of light snow (S-1). Around noon, clouds began to clear for the remainder of the day with partly cloudy skies.
Snowpack
The snowpack was 2 to 4 feet deep with southerly slopes holding lesser amounts. North facing slopes held the most snow with wind deposited areas behind ridge lines and terrain features holding the greater amounts. Basal facets, crusts and buried surface hoar remain as persistent weak layers in the snowpack on north through east facing terrain near and below treeline.
