Weather

Weather- Increasing clouds throughout the day. S1 snow at brief periods but not sustained. Pretty warm in the morning before the clouds socked in. Calm in the morning with some gusting out of the N-NW in the afternoon.

Snowpack

Snowpack- Suncrusts around 2-5cm on Southerly slopes above firm snow. Pit on NE slope at 30* was 195 cm deep with Fist snow down about 10-15 cm, then changing to 4f for another 20-30cm at which point it was 1f down to the faceted crystals around 120cm from the surface. Evidence of cohesion in the facets from chunks pulled from the layer. ECT M(13) Sudden collapse. .

Avalanche

Avalanches- Nothing new but evidence of many mid-slope avalanches in the gladed openings in the trees that slid on fairly low angle slopes (>35*)
