Marriott Basin

We went into Wendy Thompson hut up Marriott Basin on Tuesday November 20th. It was sunny as we skinned in, however there was not much snow coverage on the trail in. We chose to go up the summer route, but the winter route looked equally sparse. We noticed significant surface hoar at 1600m. We skied out on Wednesday- since none of the slopes around the hut had sufficient coverage. It was snowing as we left, but this area likely needs more than this cycle before it is skiable!
