Big Blue

Overnight trip to Big blue/ Boundary Peak 114. We observed a wide range of conditions over the weekend. Saturday had intense sun which caused some natural point release avalanches on steep south facing slopes. Pockets of sastrugi on top of suncrust were fairly widespread. snow depth on big blue glacier at 1800M was 150cm. The winds from the week before left a widespread hard pressed crust that ranged from Decent to difficult to ski. We avoided steep terrain.
