Classic Spring skiing in January. Loads of folks out snow shoeing to the summit. Great to see most of them with transceivers, probe, shovel. Poked my nose into Thar Couloir. The recent warm spell has done a number even on the shaded North aspects as it was pretty bare and icy. Some large old wet loose visible at the bottom of the couloir. Decided on mellow corn laps in Thar/Nak Bowl instead. Everything was stable throughout the day. Great time to get some laps in before the next snow fall makes things a bit squirrely.

Solar aspects were in excellent spring skiing condition. Purposely started a little later and had some great turns in the open. Anywhere shaded had a bit of a crust but nothing wild with the high temps.
