Snowpack
Skied 1st Bowl today. Observed 1-2cm new SH in less treed areas. Dug to 1.5m deep near the top of the bowl. Probed HS 240. CTM14, Q2 on 4f/4f+ interface 43cm's below surface. ECTP19, Q2, same interface. I did not find early January SH layer previously spoken about in other reports. Experience no natural signs of instability, i.e. cracking, collapsing, etc. New surface hoar skied well in open areas and felt nsf's under foot. Noisy snow. Probing across the start zone, I did not feel what could be hard slab: not like what is found in the Vail/Summit or Sawatch zones.
