Sunny and windy, especially on the ridge tops.

we were able to find a few area of instability in the upper snow pack; a couple of collapses and some cracking, but very limited. The top slab that was only an inch or two thick became really reactive to sliding once things warmed up. At 11am Saturday, on an east slope at 11900', I was able to get enough of that top slab to release, continue to pick up debris, and ran for 300'. Nothing serious, but enough to make you take a step back and re-evaluate things...
