Heavy snow

Snowpack

Snowfall from current system has been considerable in North Routt County, ranging from 8 to 12 in. thus far. This recent snow sits on top of a layer that was influenced by recent warm weather. The snow has buried this layer and has created a slide surface. Cracking, collapsing, and a human triggered avalanches were observed. Conditions warrant extreme caution.
