Weather

toured mostly south and through east facing slopes at elevations ranging from 8800 to 10000 ft snowing moderately, light winds from the west southwest.

Snowpack

observed generally supportable and stable lower 80-100 cms of snow. Troublesome layer seems to be developing near last weeks melt freeze layer. This layer is currently buried 20-25 cms deep. Multiple ECT test failing between 2 and 11 were noted at this layer. There is currently not much slab development above this layer but with continued wind, snow and sun who knows.
