Weather was cool in the morning, with rising temps as the day progressed. -3 (C), was the warmest temp observed for the day at 11,800 feet. Calm winds on all aspects up to 12,000 feet. Little to no snow was blowing on surface.
Snowpack
Below Tree Line on E-SE-S aspects was a breakable crust. Tree Line and Above Tree Line there was a hard crust on East aspects, with N-NE aspects skiing the best. Depth Hoar and large faceted grains observed at 11,800 on East slopes. East facing slopes are heavily wind effected above Tree Line.
