Avalanche

Multiple significant full track natural avalanches occurred on generally Southerly slopes, including two road hits on Ophir County Road. Little activity observed on other aspects. Exact timing of these slides is unclear, but likely around 3:30pm. These avalanches are really interesting... The snowpack on Southerly slopes is not deep, and fracture lines appear to be only 1-2' deep, yet the slides ran 'faster and longer' than others in the past with much deeper snowpack / fractures. It is VERY rare for these slides to hit the Ophir road at this time of year.
