Strong Westerly winds ahead of the front moving in.

Avalanche

The Taylor Pass cornice broke earlier today, just North of the actual pass. The Pass signs/fence posts are visible (just) in the attached photo. The cornice was on the East, South-east aspect, and broke with a large crown remaining. The crown is estimated to be 400 yards long, and the slide ran about the same length.
