Snowpack

On NE-E-SE-S aspects 100-180cm HS. The snowpack was deeper near treeline and in wind-drifted areas near ridgelines. The Christmas storm snow has created strength in the upper snowpack. Near and below treeline the slab has the ability to support the weight of a skier. The slab sits above facets at the bottom of the snowpack. ECT results continue to show strength in the new snow, but hard propagating failures in the basel layers.
